Behind Bards
Most of you know that I'm hoping to end up in a correctional facility once I'm done with school. I found today's Speed Bump (which is almost always funny) to be very relevant to my chosen vocation.

That's even you in the backround still blogging away.
I hope you guys get self-defense training. What if one of those burly cons demands your ham and cheese sandwich, will you meekly hand it over?
Matt,
Your jest made me realize that there is a good chance that there are prison librarian bloggers, so I did a simple search, and found one right away...
http://prisonbookprogram.blogspot.com/
There's a few other decent ones that I found, too, but I doubt that you're all that interested. So, yes, you were kidding, but I probably will still be blogging away.
Pete,
As far as protecting my lunch, I'm afraid I won't be. This entire career choice is all part of an extreme weight loss through forcible theft of lunch program.
I know I'm in the stone age when it comes to computing, but have you considered/heard of pod-casting?
It sounds really cool. we can make our own basement tapes about nothingness.
Matt,
I love podcasting. I went through a brief period over the winter when I listened to several podcasts regularly.
One of my favorite sites was...
openpodcast.org
I loved listening to openpodcast on the way back and forth to school. I haven't been listening in a while, but I still think it's a great idea.
You would probably definitely be interested in...
Psalmcast
The software I use is ipodder. There are others out there, but I am happy with ipodder.
Finally, I should let you know that I've got my own podcast site. I set it up one night at the beginning of March instead of doing schoolwork that I should have been doing. The feed works properly, everything's fine, but I don't have much to talk about. I need a theme.
I've been thinking about making PoddyPod Mildred's own blog/podcast and everyone could hear Mildred's blog on a nightly/semi-nightly basis.
As far as making our own basement tapes sort of deal, we'd probably have to talk long-distance via something like Skype and then I could record our conversations and mix them using Total Recorder and Audacity.
It could work.
